LCAT II

Performance

The LCAT II is a Subscale, Subsonic, Aerial Target Drone capable of carrying common target and training payloads to speeds up to 400 Knots at altitudes up to 25,000 feet. Powered by an advanced miniature turbofan engine, the LCAT II can cruise for over an hour and perform missions in excess of 350 nautical miles.

Flexibility

The LCAT II is a self contained, fully autonomous target system. Using its own pneumatic launcher and integrated ground station / command and control system, the LCAT II does not require extensive range infrastructure or Rocket Assisted Take Off (RATO) bottles in order to operate. The LCAT II system and its three member crew can deploy to ranges and be operation ready within three hours after arrival.

After recovery using the LCAT II's parachute system, the flight team can "quick turn" a vehicle for subsequent sorties, providing unique multimission, same aircraft, same day capability.

Value

The LCAT II is designed to be a low cost, high performance target and training solution. The LCAT II's small size, low weight, and advanced production techniques significantly reduce the vehicles's cost while the low logistics footprint, three member operations, and lack of costly consumables significantly reduce the cost per presentation.
